MasterLife SRA 50 – A expanding plasticising admixture for cement, grout and concrete

Description

MasterLife SRA 50 is an expansion system, which compensates for plastic shrinkage and settlement in cementitious grouts. Supplied in powder form, MasterLife SRA 50 produces controlled expansion in cement grouts and maintains high water retention. 

It contains a water-reducing agent, which increases the workability of the mix with reduced water content, making a stronger grout. Full expansion is achieved before initial setting occurs resulting in a high degree of interfacial contact.

Where is MasterLife SRA 50 applied?

For bedding, jointing, duct grouting and void filling applications where the following characteristics are beneficial: 

  • A cement plasticising and water-reducing agent to improve the free flowing properties of the grout at low w/c ratios 
  • An expanding agent that increases the volume of the grout, which in turn eliminates shrinkage and settlement 
  • A catalyst to control the rate of expansion and to ensure full expansion of the grout.

MasterRheobuild 3060 – High range, water-reducing superplasticiser for rheoplastic concretes

How does it work?

MasterRheobuild 3060 is formulated from synthetic polymers specially designed to impart rheoplastic qualities to concrete. A rheoplastic concrete is a fluid concrete, easily flowing, but at the same time free from segregation and bleeding having the same w/c ratio as that of a low slump concrete without admixture.
 
MasterRheobuild 3060 is chloridefree.

MasterLife WP 707M – Low dosage, liquid, integral waterproofer 

Description

A liquid admixture to give high water resistance, based upon a blend of specially selected surface active agents and refined lignosulphonate. Waterproof concrete is the result of good concrete practice coupled with the lowest w/c ratio compitable with achieving full compaction. 

The use of MasterLife WP 707M enables all these criteria to be met due to its strong plasticising and water-reducing properties. 

Where is MasterLife WP 707M applied?

MasterLife WP 707M should be used in all structural concrete that is constantly or intermittently in contact with water, such as sea walls, tunnels, basements, structural and pre-cast concrete in exposed superstructures.

MasterLife WP 730

A hydrophobic pore-blocking ingredient for watertight concrete 

Description

MasterLife WP 730 is a hydrophobic poreblocking ingredient (H.P.I.) for concrete. It significantly reduces water absorption of concrete. 

MasterLife WP 730 is a chloride free organic admixture and supplied as a colourless, clear to slightly cloudy viscous liquid. It reacts with the cement hydration process to form a hydrophobic ingredient to reduce the capillary suction and prevent the ingress of potentially deleterious soluble material, resulting in concrete with enhanced durability.

MasterLife WP 730 is suitable for any concrete structure, which requires watertightness, such as:

  • Basement walls and floors
  • Tunnels / underpass
  • Foundations, piles and pile caps

MasterLife CI 222 – Organic corrosion inhibiting admixture

MasterLife CI 222 is a state-of-the-art corrosion inhibiting admixture formulated to inhibit the corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete. 

MasterLife CI 222 provides two levels of corrosion protection, inhibiting and waterproofing making it the most effective corrosion inhibiting admixture available. 

What are the advantages of MasterLife CI 222?

MasterLife CI 222 extends the service life of reinforced concrete by slowing the ingress of chlorides and moisture into the concrete and by forming a strong, durable protective film on the reinforcing steel for a second level of corrosion protection. 

This dual mechanism system makes MasterLife CI 222 effective with all cement factors, as well as in cracked concrete where the elements that cause corrosion have direct access to the reinforcing steel.

MasterLife SF 100 – Silica fume mineral admixture

How does it work?

MasterLife SF 100 is a dry, compacted, silica fume mineral admixture formulated to produce concrete with special performance qualities. It improves the hardened characteristics of concrete in two main ways. Firstly, MasterLife SF 100 is a pozzolan which reacts chemically to increase the amount of calcium silicate hydrate gel formed, thus improving the strength and impermeability of the concrete. Secondly, MasterLife SF 100 is an ultra-fine material that physically fills the voids between cement particles resulting in an extremely dense and impermeable concrete. MasterLife SF 100 meets ASTM C1240 requirements.
 

What is it used for?

The reduced permeability of concrete produced with MasterLife SF 100 greatly limits the ingress of water, chlorides, sulphates, and aggressive chemicals known for promoting reinforcing steel corrosion and other distress in the concrete. This makes MasterLife SF 100 an ideal product for use in basement structures, parking decks, bridge decks, marine structures, and any construction that requires the protection provided by impermeable concrete. It allows for design flexibility, resulting in reduced member size, increased span lengths, and improves overall structural economics which strengthen concrete. As a result of the preceding advantages, MasterLife SF 100 will improve performance in wet and dry shotcrete, prestressed, precast, and ready-mixed concrete applications. When air entrainment is desired, an air-entraining admixture is recommended. Please consult your local Technical Sales Representative. It is also recommended that MasterLife SF 100 be used in conjunction with a high range, water-reducing admixture, such as MasterPolyheed or MasterGlenium admixtures for maximum workability while maintaining a low water-cementitious ratio.
